I really believe Jamie Visness should be our Player of the Week, but I would like the committee to please consider Danni Hannon (maybe shared).
College of Saint Benedict senior forward Danni Hannon, St. Louis Park, became the 13th CSB player to score 1,000 career points when the Blazers downed St. Catherine's 87-69 last Saturday. Beyond the signficiance of scoring a 1,000 points, Danni just missed this milestone in high school because she suffered an ACL injury and was unable to finish her senior year. This collegiate mark was reached in just three varsity seasons because Danni only played JV her first season, again because of the recovery still needed to her knee injury.
Here are her stats on the week ...

Allison Clark - post - sophomore - Western Springs, Ill./Lyons County H.S.
Allison scored 14 pts off the bench against Macalester on Saturday - she was 6 for 8 from floor - 2 for 2 from FT line - 4 rebs (3 offensive) - 1 assist - 1 block - all in 13 minutes.
vs Carleton she had 4 pts (1 for 2 FG and 2 for 2 FT) - on the surface these numbers are not very impressive, however considering when they came in the game they were quite significiant - Carleton was on a 14-0 run and Allison had her lone FG at 3:35 to put us back up 7 points, while her two FTs came with 40 seconds left to extend the lead back to five points 64-59.
Side - note: Allison entered the Carleton game with an injuried wrist that she sustained in a non-conference game with St. Scholastica - we were uncertain that she would be able to play vs Carleton - now we want her to tape her wrist the rest of the season.
