Gretta Stritesky, Sr., RHP, Ogilvie, Minn.

Concordia senior Gretta Stritesky picked up a complete-game victory against St. Mary's in the last start of her career on Saturday. It was Stritesky's only outing of the week, and it marked the first time this season that the Cardinals have been beaten by an MIAC team other than regular season champion St. Thomas. The win also snapped a 10-game losing streak that Concordia had at the hands of St. Mary's.

In the game against St. Mary's, Stritesky continually worked out of jams as she was able to get key outs in four of the seven innngs with runners on either second or thid base.

Her stat line, while not impressive, proves how hard she battled to beat the 19-3 Cardinals. In the end, she allowed eight hits and two earned runs while striking out two. Her most impressive stat was her ability to get ous with runners on third base. She did not allow a hit with a runner on third (0-for-3) and was the main cause behind St. Mary's leaving nine runners on base.

The first-year set the Hamline single season record for home runs in a season with nine. The old record was held by Marion Zillhardt, who hit eight in 2003.
